When you start preparing to register for gifts, start by walking through your house and look at the things you don’t have first. Then start looking at the things you have that maybe need updating, and make notes of what you see. Like for instance, your vacuum was made in 1974 and has seen better days, write down a new vacuum.

Then once you’ve compiled your list of all your NEED items, start on a few things you want. Like, I don’t need but I want, some accent bowls and picture frames. Maybe some new candle holders or end tables. Then think about the styles and stores you know will have what you want. Stores like Macy’s and The Bombay Company are great because they offer a divers selection of many styles.

But through all your picking and planning be sure not to forget your future spouse, after all, you do have to live together - forever!
